How to clean up 'Resources' pane in C/R?

Control room showing resources no longer in use with status 'Missing - Connection lost' or 'Offline'.  How can this list be purged so these inactive entries can be removed?

You can retire resources in System tab > Resources group > Management. It's a bit odd to me, but it will remove them from the list in Control Room in the same way that retiring processes and objects will remove them from the Studio tab.
