Import failure

I get the below message when trying to import a release file to production and I can not get my head around what is wrong. As I understand it there is no limitations in number of characters in data items as such in BP.

"Import failed: String or binary data would be truncated. The statement has been terminated."

Seems like you are attempting to store something in the BP database table that is larger than the column allows or some other characters which are not allowed. You can try importing individual object\process instead of a release to figure out which\what is throwing this error .

Hoping you environment versions are same from where you are importing and exporting ?

@JonasKalborg,

Are you able to determine which item is throwing the error? If so, take a look at the value and see if there's some sort of special character included.

Cheers,

The problem was indeed the limitations in the database. More precise the process description textbox has a limitation of 1000 char on database side. When figuring that out we simply removed characters in the textbox and we were able to complete the import.
