Hello Folks,
We just received the licence file of our 8 BOTs. The current license is going to expire on 31st Jan 2024 and the new license is supposed to be installed from 1st Feb 2024.
I have two questions here.

Hi Vikash
1) Yes
2) A BP license sits at the environment level (ie in the database) and only needs to be installed once. It does not need to be installed on each machine.

Hello John,
Thank you so much for your assistance.
I installed the licence file in one of our BOT VM. It is now showing 2 licenses, the current one and the Future license wef 1st Feb 2024.
But when I logged into the other BOT VM, the future license which I’ve installed in not showing there. Only the current license is showing that is going to expire on 31st Jan 2024. Please help me with the resolution.
Thanks

Hi Vikash,
You'll need to reboot the Blue Prism application server after applying the updated license. In the past I have seen some runtime resources and interactive clients get the new license details automatically without a reboot, while other runtimes/ICs in the same environment do not see the new license. A reboot after license updates has consistently worked for us.
The 7.1 Update A License Documentation states a reboot is required. Previous versions of the documentation do not state that a reboot is required. When in doubt, I would suggest an application server reboot.

Hi Vikash,
we usually restart all the BluePrism runtime nodes along with Application Server/s restart. I had faced issues when calling BluePrism tasks over API integration and/or opening an interact form, node restart helped solving the issues.

Hi Vikash - I've assumed your VMs are all connected to the same app server and database. If this is the case, then a license only need to be installed once (and the restarts suggested by the others here is good advice). This is the standard topology for a BP environment.
However, if you have installed each VM with its own local database, then each machine is an isolated, separate, single-seat environment. In this situation, a license would need to be installed on each machine. However this isn't a recommended environment design.
