- Also, while attaching to a running instance, the error received is as follows: "Internal : Failed to perform Step 1 in Navigate Stage 'Attach' on page 'Action 1' - Terminal Emulation - Could not load the dll - PCSHLL32.dll"

Surely, working with Surface Automation does multifold the efforts needed, though, in this case, it was the only option left.
We did check probably last Jan with the BP Team on the support, they mentioned that they do not support all versions of the IBM iAccess, thus, it has issues. Though, it would be great to check with them if any updates on that. Also, enclosing a link of supported Mainframe applications for your reference. http://portal.blueprism.com/customer-support/support-center%23/path/1139622192

Hi we are also facing the same issue in 7.3. Does anyone know how to solve this? We have DLL in place still BP throws the error stating DLL is not found. We are following the BP guide for the IBM iAccess.

The get out of jail for mainframes (if you really can't get the hllapi interfaces working) is this guide to using surface automation with mainframes here: https://portal.blueprism.com/documents/surface-automation-terminal-emulators
I created the guide 8 (yes EIGHT!!!) years ago and it comes with some starter objects to get you going quickly. It is reliable and fast - simply copying text from the entire screen and parsing it to read data.
The other option is to pay for a different emulator that does work easily with Blue Prism, not sure what the options are today but years ago there used to be some with cheap per user licenses that worked with existing mainframe servers.

I have also spent a lot of time on this issue and read gigabytes of information.
The solution was in the Application Modeller settings. Try using a different application Manager Mode - for my BluePrism 7.2.1 64 bit case, the ‘External, 32bit mode’ mod was suitable.
