Listener failed : Unable to start listener

what causes 'Listener failed : Unable to start listener' error when we exit and start runtime resource again, everytime when we get this error we have to restart the PC to fix it. Also sometimes when interacting with java based applications runtime resources closes automatically what could be the cause of this please guide We are using Blueprism 5.

Hope all is well and you have updated to the latest version of Blue Prism. Do you have more info on the error, if the error is related to "Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted". It could be related to the redundancy usage, it could be you have already opened BP client, and thus you are not able to start the server because already port 8181 is in use. Try to close the BP client and re-start the server.

Hi Zubair,

please disable the option to start the personal runtime when the blueprism interactive client is logged in you will have to open Blueprism with elevated privilages for this setting change to take effect if you are not an admin of the system.

alternately you could edit the config file from C:\ProgramData\Blue Prism Limited\Automate V3\Automate.config
