Maximum number of actions in an Object

Good Morning,

I was wondering if there is an impact on execution / maintenance based on the number of actions an Object has? If yes, what is the optimum range of number of actions an object can have?

Regards,

Aseem

It depends on the nature of the object whether it is a standalone or shared/reusable object. But there is no such limitation on the number of actions in an object.

Hi Aseem,

Whilst there is no enforced limit on the number of Actions contained in a Business Object, consideration should be given to the size of the Object and the impact it has loading on the object on execution. If your Object contains 25 Actions, and your process only uses 3 of those Actions, all 25 Actions are loaded into memory.

Take a look at the Business Object Design guide on the Blue Prism University for guidance on this topic
