Not able to Spy the elements in the Java mode for the Java Application

Hello Sir, We are not able to Spy the elements in java mode in the java application but we are able to spy the elements in region mode when we try to spy the elements in Java mode it is showing Java region mode but we are unable to select the specific elements to spy in java mode We have JAB in my system and we are able to access/spy the elements in other Java application We are unable to spy the elements in any other mode except region Please provide guidelines Thanks & Regards, Silpa Nadendla

It may be that this application does not use the system Java that is installed in Program Files and JAB has not been enabled for this specific Java runtime environment used by the application. Another option is that this Java application works through a virtualization layer (Citrix or similar) and in that case you will only be able to use the region mode.

Oracle also distributes a couple of testing tools for Java Access Bridge. The tools are called Java Ferret and Java Monkey, and seeing if those tools can spy or map your application should be one of the first things you can experiment with. The tools were downloaded and installed with previous versions of JAB, I am not sure how it is currently distributed by Oracle since JAB now comes pre-installed, you may have to do a bit of a google search. If Java Ferret/Monkey cannot interface with your element than it would indicate that your elements have not been built in an accessible way - rather than any fault with the Blue Prism implementation of JAB. If that is the case than Surface Automation is the only solution available to you.

We tried with Surface automation, but we are unable to Recognize Text with font and background color. Please provide any other work around.

We have list of textboxes which are disabled and some are enabled, we are able to recognize text from enabled textboxes but not with disabled one. We also created a new font but still we are unable to read the text. Kindly give us some suggestions.
