Office 2013 to office 365 ?

I was wondering if there are any potential risks if we continue with office 2013 instead of migrating to office 365 on the bots

Only one I've run into is with Outlook. I don't know if this has more to do with how Microsoft has it set up, or or business unit, but Outlook will occasionally prompt for credentials post-migration. We've also had it ask to accept a certificate on shared mailboxes.

Will the newly released outlook object work on shared mailbox as well. If yes how to make it point it to specific folder of the shared mailbox instead of the usual inbox?

You have to modify it to work with a non-default profile or shared inbox address. If you want to point to a folder, you'll either need to make a new action or publish the intentionally unpublished shared action within the VBO.
