Outlook not refreshed: only part of mails picked up

Hi community,

Many of our processes rely on incoming e-mails with processing requests. I have noticed that sometimes not all e-mails in the inbox at a specific moment in time are picked up by the robot. For instance:
- Process runs at 10.30
- Some emails have been sent already the previous day (thursday) to be picked up by the robot at friday 10.30
- Some emails have been sent the friday it self, before 10.30 to be picked up by the robot at friday on 10.30 as well

The results show that only the emails have been picked up that were sent the day before on thursday. This issue seems to occur randomly.

Any ideas on what might cause this? Is the connection from blueprism to outlook server not refreshed or something like that? We are using the standards MS Outlook VBO provided by blueprism (version 6.5).

Hope someone knows how to fix this because now the processes seem unstable.

Hi, Nanne,

this is probably that the outlook application takes some time to synchronized. We experienced the same and we added Sync action into our Outlook VBO.

If you look into DX https://digitalexchange.blueprism.com/dx/entry/3351/solution/neoops-ms-outlook-vbo there is the code which does that.
