Process stops running but does not Terminate

Hi all, We have very recently started experiencing an issue with processes running through Control room are in a status of €œRunning€, but when you check the log ( whilst running ) the log has stopped recording any actions, and if we remote log onto the resource to see what is taking place, the process has just €œstopped€ , the Automate.exe listener has not crashed and still shows the process as €œrunning€. It happens to different process performing different groups of actions at different times of day. The only common functionality shared by the last actions performed are: A smart wait ( various application items ) And A navigate stage with the action €œActivate Application€. ( the Application window question varies also ). Has anybody else experienced this issue and solved or does anybody have any ideas please?   Regards

Hi, We have also experienced this on and off.  Have not been able to diagnose the cause.

Worth raising a ticket with Support Stuart I think. Is there any chance the target app is displaying a pop-up warning, or maybe has frozen? Sometimes BP can get stuck when the target app either does not respond or displays a pop-up on a different thread to the one your object is manipulating. On more recent versions of BP there is a 'global timeout' field in application modeller that tells BP to give up waiting for a non-response after N seconds - maybe give that a go.

IIRC this would sometimes happen to us on ver 6.2 when a file on a shared drive used by the robot was already open on someones computer.  BP seemed to have trouble with this.
