Hi Tejaskumar,

The red font without a red border around the text box implies low confidence on the value obtained by OCR. It should progressively go away, once decipher gets more confidence on the value.

Thanks

Are there any expressions or formulas in use to validate the field? The red could indicate that one of these rules is not being followed.
A common example would be a formula for the amount to equal price times quantity. The formula could be too precise (expecting 4 or more decimal points, for example), but the money amount usually gets rounded to two decimal points. The rounding is enough of a difference to generate the red validation error. For money fields that use formulas for validation, you may want to use the ROUND function to avoid this issue.

No, I don't have any formula or validation applied for this field. It's just Name, ID, sample header, and Assignable Flag. That's all I have for this field.

How can we increase the Confidence level?

Hi Vinod,

You can improve the confidence level of a field by adding a Format Expression to indicate the anticipated string format, Formulas and List also help Decipher be more certain about it's Capture confidence.

However, the low confidence level may also be due to the OCR process, which is harder to improve. The OCR stage (which includes 2 OCR engines) will provide a confidence level for each character and this can be affected by things such as a low quality image (<300dpi) or a coloured background where you're reading the wanted text.

There are fewer options to help improve this, though the ones outline above may have an impact. You may need to consider if it's possible to use a higher quality image (increase the dpi of scanned documents to 300dpi) or convert the image to greyscale before uploading.

Thanks
