Hi Ben,
The retention setting will remove all processed images and data on the database. This will include the OCR data and the capture data. It should ultimately ensure that you don't have any excessive data build up or store customer data for longer than it's needed.
You may (on some occasions) still see folders for some deleted batches, but the pages will have been deleted.
2 key points:
- This states for completed batches, so it's based on the number of days after the batch is complete. Incomplete batches will not be deleted.
- Decipher uses this data to generate the ML Capture models. So if you set the days to a very low number, you may never reach the target document number to train. E.g. You process 100 documents per day, set your ML training to 1000 documents and you data retention to 7 days. In this scenario you will never have more than 700 documents for creating a model and so with the given target, will never train.
Thanks
Ben
