Saving session logs to Oracle DB via Data Gateways

Hi all,

Is it possible to configure Data Gateways in such a way that the session log is writing to an Oracle DB as an alternative to the default SQL database?

Hi Linda,

To address your question, Blue Prism Data Gateways is bundled with a SQL Logstash connection plugin only. Out-of-the-box, Data Gateways can only connect to SQL server or output to a .log file -- to do the latter, see the article "How to use Data Gateways to direct Session logs to a location other than the Blue Prism database". You may be able to then use this .log file in an Oracle database.

There is not currently an official driver specific for MySQL or Oracle included standard with Data Gateways, but there may be 3rd party drivers available that could do this (although they would have to be dealt with by the 3rd-party provider involved). If you'd like to see this standard functionality changed in a future release, I would suggest you submit this as a feature enhancement request via the Ideas Portal.
