Hi Everyone,
Good day. I am looking for a more effective way in searching for objects together with its actions. Ideally we can filter for the object name in the studio then have to open it manually and look at all the actions.
Another way is maybe keep a tracker of all objects via Excel or SharePoint. Has anyone came up with better approach? Appreciate your response.
Regards,
Jared

Hi Jared,
Please go and have a look in the 'Ideas' section of the community. There you can launch new ideas or vote for good ideas that you may find there.
There has been an abundance of ideas targeting the search capabilities - or rather the lack thereof - in BP. At our shop we're at 6.10 and indeed was new search functionality added in this version. But still nothing to find an object action, as had been requested.
If you decide to launch a new idea on this subject, I will certainly vote for it. Hopefully BP will merge all requests for added or enhanced searches in BP together and conclude there are more than enough votes on these combined to warrant doing something about them.

Happy coding!

Hi Jared Vincent Agapito : If you really wanna do it - It might require some what work to build an automated Excel Sheet Data which keeps the all the Object data - Object Name and its actions- you would have to play around with the XML VBO (C:\Program Files\Blue Prism Limited\Blue Prism Automate\VBO) - You can identify tags in XML, play around and collect data by passing the XML object path to your process with this capability designed and run through all of the VBOs to generate similar set of data. #BPTechTips
For example the XML for "Utility - Strings" can be found here (C:\Program Files\Blue Prism Limited\Blue Prism Automate\VBO\BPA Object - Utility - Strings.xml) the XML will have <process name> which is the Name of the Object and <name> tag for Name of action -

I have created this kind of overview of Objects and Actions in Excel, but I'm now in the state of generating a XML copy of the Object Action (not the full object). Someone that have looked into this? As an example, if you copy a Object Action from BP and put it into an Editor, you will see some IDs, input and output and size of box, but I'm not able to find this information in the XML info of the Object.
Is this Object-Action information stored any place, or is it possible to generate this XML info?
