Selection of RPA Project, Feasibility

What are all points need to be considered while doing a Technical feasibility study of a RPA project.

  • Spying few elements of the application to check if we are able to spy elements of an application with any spy modes.
  • Turn around time calculation and meeting TAT Time.
  • Peak hour performance challenges.
  • scalability.

What are other points you consider while doing technical feasibility study before giving a go to development call?

Hi Rahul,

You have covered all the basic points, few more points that you can add are:

- Security and compliance challenges if any (This could include determining session locks of application along with credential storage determination)
- Check if any differences are there in the applications in DEV and PROD like unknown popups or different links etc.
- Determination of retry points in each screen (from my pervious experience, it's better if you can identify it at this stage only otherwise to avoid unknown surprises in DEV)
- Loading time comparison between each environment (DEV, UAT and PROD). This gives a rough idea about the average time you can consider for timeouts in you process flow.
