Ability to clear the value from a dropdown field

Users should have the ability to clear the value selected from a dropdown field especially from non-mandatory dropdowns if user selects a value accidentally, currently it forces user to select a value from dropdown instead leaving it as blank. Usually, dropdowns add a blank value to the list of values which gives the user the ability to set the dropdown to blank.

@Clararaj this feature is lovely to have on V22, thank you. My question is whether selecting blank value constitutes a change event for the dropdown element?

I am triggering a service base on change events for a dropdown field and I suspect that the service is not currently triggered when selecting a blank value i.e. clear the previously selected value.
