To whom it may concern,

We’d like to set an execution day to execute RPA and we’d like to execute RPA depending on what day of business day is today on a monthly basis as well.

For example, if you want to execute it on the 5th business day of every month, you need to create a new calendar and set all the days other than the 5th business day as holidays now.

This requires a lot of work and is prone to errors.
We’d like you to settle this issue.

We hope to hear from you.

Best regards,

現在のBluePrismでは、特定の営業日で実行させる設定がなく、専用のプロセスの作成を行うなどの対処が必要となってしまいます。
なので、第●営業日として実装して頂きたく存じます。

This development is really necessary for us too for all monthly closing actions in the accounting team.

Hi 阿久津 晃司,

Thank you so much for submitting this idea! I've reviewed it with our internal team, and we've determined that there is already a workaround for this request. As such, we've marked this idea as Not Planned.

Please see below for a solution approach utilizing the current calendar object that comes with the Product.

Steps:

  1. Set your calendar in ‘system’ tab in BP.
  2. Use calendar object to get the working day range
  3. Loop though the working day range and count the business days
  4. Decide if the current business day is the day the process should run.

PS: I would make this part of the process (standalone page), which can be scheduled daily and it will decide itself to execute or stop. (see diagram below)

Also please see this helpful article on our community: https://community.blueprism.com/communities/community-home/digestviewer/viewthread?GroupId=301&MessageKey=3e71fe53-08e0-4aa9-80fd-7a0db2093c15&CommunityKey=fa047dc0-20a4-4608-af34-ae6578160b33&tab=dig...

Thank you,
Melanie

Much appreciate the workaround. Although on further discussion the user is actually looking to set this up using a schedule within Control Room. Ideally this would include the capability to setup ad-hoc times and dates over a calendar year, and wouldn't require Digital Worker resource to manage the desired schedule.
