We need the ability to accurately report on cases completed within a specific time period (such as monthly), in the same way we are currently able to report on cases created.

User Story

As a reporter,
I want to accurately report on the number of cases completed during a selected time frame (e.g., monthly), in the same way I can report on cases created,
so that I can provide consistent and reliable numbers to stakeholders.

Current Workaround

Right now, we use the event date to approximate when a case was completed. However, this date can change if activity occurs after the case moves to the END queue—for example, if someone adds a comment to a completed case. This causes the completion date to shift, making the data appear inconsistent and giving the impression that the number of completed items is changing over time.

Example

A stakeholder requested the number of cases created and completed per month for 2025.

  • Reporting on cases created was simple using the KEY date.
  • Reporting on cases completed was not possible, because there is no fixed, reliable END date stored in Chorus.
