Currently, when a rep selects a shortcut to be inserted into a letter, the rest of the sentence is pushed to the next line.

While this is a behavior of Word, a solution to this issue should be developed for Communications to reduce the amount of formatting/modifications a rep has to make to complete a letter.

We have functionality where we have controls to insert content and data sources from our configuration.  Is this request to modify an existing behavior or provide a new custom control that allows you to insert content (limited to text) without a line break?

when a user wants to insert a shortcut, after it is inserted, it pushes the rest of the sentence to the next line.  This means the processor needs to take additional steps to clean-up the formatting.  We understand that this is a shortfall of Word, but asking if there is anything that can be done from a Communications standpoint that would prevent the rest of the sentence from moving to the next line when a shortcut is inserted in the text of the letter.

and if there is nothing that can be done from the Communications standpoint, then this idea can be closed.

As a Word Plug-in we do not have much control over native Word functionality.  This is one that SS&C is unable to alter.
