Add the ability to report when a graphical interface element is not found. When Blue Prism doesn't find an element, it should return the element that is closest match to the specification of the target element, giving a percentage similarity.

Hi Dawid,

Thanks for your engagement in our ideation process. I'd like to confirm that our roadmap is aligned with this raised idea.

This idea is internally related to an initiative we are working on called "Self-healing Application Models". What do we mean by this?

We understand that target applications can change and application models may run into identification issues. This is a well-known and challenging problem in our industry. We are planning on tackling this in 3 phases.

  1. Application Model health reporting: the first step is to give control to your organisation to run scheduled or automatic health tests of the application model elements. Namely "Can you successfully reidentify the elements within an application model uniquely?"
  2. Application Model Diagnostics: the second step is for us to diagnose problems better. In other words try and drill down the underlying issue behind the reID.
  3. Application Model Healing: based on the diagnostics from step 2, and your rules of engagement for us (how much freedom you'd like to give our algorithms in fixing issues) we can take remedial action.

Please note this feature will become exclusively available in our Next Gen platform.

We are also taking a number of measures in the upcoming Blue Prism RPA product versions, that will boost the stability of models, such as automatically tuning the default attributes for the spy modes as well as giving you the ability to use your user-specified default attributes per spy mode.

Many thanks,

Omid
