It would be great when testing a process/object in debug mode, if it showed you, maybe by colour coding, which path has been taken through the code. You could then easily see what parts of the code hasn't been tested.

Agree. Also it would be helpful if debug mode would draw red retangles - as it happend in a spying mode - when the process goes through GUI elements.

It'd make demoing the process to your client easier and more user friendly.
Hi @Graeme Tacon,

Can I ask whether you've ever used the Process MI functionality within Design Studio? I understand that this will do something similar to what you've mentioned here, albeit based on historic session log data vs. debug session logs.

Do you have any opinion on whether that is akin to what you're looking for? I'm going to mark this idea as Needs More Info awaiting your response - thanks in advance!

Secondary comment - @MikkoKamppila - that's a great idea, if you haven't already raised it you definitely should!

Status changed to: Not Planned

Hi @Graeme__Tacon,

Given the time this has been in "Needs More Info" I'm going to now move it to Not Planned, however I am planning on inserting this as a possible area for improvement as we introduce the web based Design Studio and think about how we update/improve the UI for developers and testers alike. If something comes from this, I may revisit this idea and update it's status.

Regards,

Rob
