With the growing amount of central components (BP V7) multiple Blue Prism environments are getting very complex and expensive.
Apart from automating MS-Windows GUI there is no functional reason to stay entirely with MS-Windows products. Costs could be reduced by migrating some components to open source (database, operating system, application servers, ...)
In addition with dynamic autoscaling of services ( e.g. microservices and kubernetes) needed resources can become demand driven.
The upgrade process could be simplyfied with this approach, mayby even enabling zero downtime upgrades?)
