Decipher 2.2 services not triggering and running properly

Hello,

We have multiple members reporting issue with services after Decipher 2.2 update.
Services are not triggering and running automatically and in a proper manner.

We have tried restarting computers, several folks also reinstalled them but same observation.

Has anyone else noticed this with Decipher 2.2 and let us know if any resolution for the same?

Finally Good News Update:

After spending a lot of hours on this and trying literally every possible scenario, finally I was able to fix the issue.

If anyone stumbles upon this then you need to update, the RabbitMQ timeout parameter in "C:\Program Files(x86)\Blue Prism\Decipher Licensing Service\config" file.

I tested this on a couple of machines and it immediately started running all the services and working consistently now.

See if this helps.

The Teja.

I've not heard of this issue with any customers but I am having the same issue in my sandbox.

I suggest you open a support ticket.

Hi Teja.

I have been inquiring with one of my colleagues in support and he told me that "The issue was resolved  by reinstalling the License Service and the Decipher Server.  In addition I also made sure that Erlang and RabitMQ were updated to the versions mentioned in the documentation."

Hopefully this resolves your issue.

Hi,

Are you triggering services in particular order as for Decipher 2.1 it was necessary to run them in order:

1 - Licensing
2 - Server
3 - Web SDK
4 - Automated Clients

At least the 3 and 4 can be triggered in both ways 3-4 and 4-3 but essential is Licensing and Server.

Wild guess that same sequence has to be followed for 2.2 version.

Hello Teja,

Were you able to find a solution for this ? I am also facing similar issue in my sandbox environment where the Licensing and Sever services are not getting started automatically. I need to start the services manually every time. I tried reinstalling 2.2 from scratch but the issue continues to occur.

Hey, it was not resolved.

Another issue that I'm facing in my instance is related to the RabbitMQ version that is suggested to use.

Here rabbit is trying to kick this exe

Hi, shouldn't this path point to Erlang OTP executable but not the Rabbit? And some services need to be set to Automatic (Delayed).

We also had one time situation, when Decipher services were running but had to restart RabbitMQ server due to some reasons. After a restart, Decipher recovered and started to work again.

Yes exactly but here let me show you the path of Erlang.

We installed Erlang with all default options and did not change anything.

Same for the Rabbit installer as well. So in the end Rabbit service is looking for a different exe path of Erlang which does not exist.
