Why did you join the SS&C Blue Prism community?

Being part of the community gives me the opportunity to learn a little more every day, share knowledge, help people, and connect with professionals. Additionally, I have the opportunity to stay updated on the latest developments in the RPA, AI, and the SS&C Blue Prism world.

What keeps you coming back to the Community and getting involved so often?

The collaborative environment and knowledge shared by the community contribute to long-term learning. Various discussions and exchanges of ideas promote continuous learning, today access to the community has become part of my routine because I know that at the end of the day, I will have undoubtedly learned something new and shared some knowledge.

How did you find out about the SS&C Blue Prism community?

Due to a problem, I had in one of the automation led me to a community forum article. After a few months, after a post on LinkedIn, I returned to the forum, now looking to contribute and share knowledge.

How did you start your career in automation?

I got into the automation area under the guidance of a friend. Previously, I worked in software development and support, so it was a relatively quick and easy migration. I was excited about technology, process automation, and the challenges I could solve through it. Afterward, I tried to improve myself through certifications and training. I have been fortunate to have amazing leaders and people who have helped me on this journey over the past few years.

Do you do anything to make working from home fun?

To make work more enjoyable, I try to incorporate personal elements into my work routine. I'm lucky enough to have the company of my adorable dog, Olaf, during development tasks. Additionally, I take advantage of the flexibility of remote work to spend time with my family during breaks and lunch.

Do you have any fun names for your Digital Workers?

“I've already given some affectionate names based on movie references (Chappie, for example).”

Are there any future automations you want to do?

I am exploring integrations with artificial intelligence along with cognitive services. Certainly, next year, I intend to develop a project focusing on this.

What career advice would you give yourself early in your career if you could?

Take advantage of every opportunity to learn and grow, take your time, try to make the most of the journey, and make friends. Take learning as a rule of life and understand that along the way there will be ups and downs. Don't be discouraged and always persist. A quote from the movie ‘The Pursuit of Happyness’ that I incorporate into my life is: Never let anyone tell you that you can’t do something. Do you have a dream? You have to protect it.

Tell the community something about yourself that you think they won't know!

I'm a big fan of investigative series, especially CSI Las Vegas and CSI Miami. Even though it's a little old, I revisit episodes and reviews whenever I can. Although it doesn't have much to do with automation, aspects of the series also help me with investigating bugs and errors.
