BPC Data Vault and Partitioner database maintenance changes

Action Required
The Spring 2026 Data Vault and Partitioner update introduces additional Production database tables into the scope of maintenance and retention policies.

Customers must review the updated documentation and retention schedules to understand what historical data will now be removed and assess any impact to automations, reporting, integrations, or custom processes relying on this data.

Maintenance activity runs monthly during the scheduled maintenance window only. Depending on the size and usage of the Production database, it may take several maintenance cycles for retention policies to fully take effect.

Patching Methodology Change

Windows Patching Enhancements
To further strengthen our alignment with leading security frameworks, including Cyber Essentials and SOC 2, Blue Prism Cloud is enhancing its platform patching service.

This update simplifies the patching experience, reduces third-party dependencies, and lays the foundation for enhanced patching capabilities and future platform features.

No action is required unless specifically requested by the Blue Prism Cloud team.

Managed Patching
Customers using BPC-managed patching will continue to receive updates in line with our security and compliance standards. Patches will be deployed to Development and Test environments first, with Production environments updated one week later as part of our phased rollout approach.

For more information, please refer to the Blue Prism Cloud Patching Policy.

Important Notice for Customers Running Blue Prism Enterprise 6.10.x on Blue Prism Cloud

This communication applies only to customers currently running a 6.10.x version of Blue Prism Enterprise (BPE) on Blue Prism Cloud.

Following the Blue Prism Enterprise v6 end-of-life announcement in 2024, platforms remaining on BPE v6 have been in an unsupported** state since 01 January/July 2025. Your current platform version is at least three upgrades behind***.

We strongly recommend planning a collaborative upgrade engagement with the Blue Prism Cloud team. To do this, please contact BPM-pmo.cloud@sscinc.com by 05 June 2026 with a required completion date of 30 September 2026.

Unless we hear otherwise, we will begin planning a mandatory upgrade of BPE. Please note that these activities will impact your environment and will require scheduled downtime.

Upcoming releases

In the coming weeks, customers can expect to see an invitation arrive for the next Blue Prism Cloud product release webinar. This session will be led by Product Management and will introduce the new Blue Prism Enterprise and Blue Prism Hub releases expected to be deployed onto BPC.

We hope that you'll join us to learn more about the new features on offer, highlights from which include:

  • Backwards Compatibility for Digital Workers
  • Direct Chromium browser automation
  • Webhooks for work queue items
  • .NET 10 support for all products

We will also discuss the time frame for these new releases, when customers can start to book upgrade slots and how the upgrade process will be managed (both with and without Backwards Compatibility).

Windows 10 Forced Upgrade Notice

Windows 10 reached end of life in October 2025. Since 2025, we’ve communicated this change to all customers and provided a self-serve upgrade tool to support the transition to Windows 11. The majority of our customer base have now completed the upgrade.

For those still running windows 10, we strongly advise you to initiate the upgrade yourself now. You can do so by using the Windows 11 in-place upgrade tool found on your management server. Should you be unable to run the in-place upgrade you can raise a support ticket with us (cloudsupport@blueprism.com) to troubleshoot the upgrade and prepare for alternative options.

The deadline for you to upgrade is October 2026. We will start notifying customers of upgrade enforcement in November 2026.

Removal of Unused Applications

As part of our ongoing efforts to optimize service delivery and resource allocation, it is important that customers remain on the latest supported versions of Blue Prism products.

Removing unused applications for customers offers several benefits, including reducing the risk of compatibility issues; reducing the number of upgrades customers need to take; and aiding troubleshooting efforts.

For details, please see Unused application resources.
