Exciting new releases of SS&C | Blue Prism® Enterprise and SS&C | Blue Prism® Desktop
We’re delighted to announce the general availability of some exciting new capabilities to help you explore opportunities and add additional value to your business. Achieve more through intelligent automation, build a digital workforce that scales faster, is easier to manage, and accelerates your intelligent automation program. Connect people and digital workers in one collaborative team for the best possible outcomes. These include:
SS&C | Blue Prism® Enterprise 7.2
- 64-bit clients and digital workers, allowing users to automate larger and more complex datasets
- Native Browser Automation Agent capabilities to allow users to continue to automate and insert/invoke custom JavaScript into browsers using Manifest V3 extensions without the need for supplementary system component installation.
- Extended native browser automation capabilities to allow users to trigger events in browsers to offer an alternative to writing custom JavaScript.
- Timeout settings for browser automation operations can now be configured by users, improving customization for individual infrastructure requirements, and reducing timeouts.
- Extended API capabilities for adding and removing licenses from an environment.
- Certification for use with Adopt and Azul OpenJDK to help reduce rising third-party license costs.
SS&C | Blue Prism ® Desktop 1.1
Strengthening the unified workforce, SS&C Blue Prism Desktop provides a unified Blue Prism environment for humans, desktop, and unattended digital workers.
Desktop delivers the control, security, scalability, and auditability required to automate repetitive tasks, that must run on employee desktops, in real-time.
Automations continue to be developed centrally, so customers have the peace of mind of using the same Blue Prism design, build and governance methodologies.
Desktop supports multi-factor authentication, using a combination of startup and mid-process parameters, at process design, as well as individual credentials, meaning that pre-existing business processes which couldn’t previously be automated as unattended can now be – a real-time collaboration between humans and digital workers.
Release highlights:
- Customers with Blue Prism 7.2 and Desktop 1.1 can now use a single Blue Prism environment to manage attended and unattended digital workers, all with the benefits of central auditing and control.
- Customers can efficiently manage their unattended and attended digital workforces in a single, secure environment, reducing infrastructure costs, lowering the total cost of ownership (TCO), and increasing efficiency, whilst expanding use cases and advancing their automation landscape. They are now able to create and manage automations, either for desktop attended or unattended, and we’ve made extensive changes to enable this to be done easily, with the guaranteed quality and security expected from Blue Prism.
- We are also introducing the capability to design automations so that a Desktop digital worker can trigger a Blue Prism process, opening new opportunities for desktop automation.
We continue to collaborate with our customers and partners on our Unified Workforce Roadmap. Our Product Managers would love to hear from you, to discuss use cases and the direction you would like to see us take on this exciting journey. Please share your thoughts and feedback in this thread.
