Copy and Paste Worksheet Range Issue

Hi, may I have your help?

There are more than 1 excel (.xls file) need to be consolidated into one excel (.xlsx file). I use action "Copy and Paste Worksheet Range" of excel vbo. but strangely that sometimes all files can be fully copied and pasted, sometimes only few of them can be copied and pasted, sometimes none of them can be copied and pasted. I try this with the same resource files. what is the problem?

Hi Eric,

I understood that you are trying to combine multiple excel files into one using "Copy and Paste worksheet Range" action of excel VBO. Are you using any kind of images in few files. Does all files are having same columns or few excels are having different columns count? Could you help with the additional information. If possible a sample of excel sheets on which you are working, just for reference. Also any issues you have noticed/encountered while partial data got appended?

Thanks Yeswa.

​All files are pure data workbook with same columns name and count. Even though I am trying on the same batch files in control room model or debug model, mentioned 3 kind of results will be encountered. There no any pop up warning/message during the process. A situation be found in debug model that if failed to Copy and Paste, I can manually activate the excel window both of resource and target and then retry the Copy and Paste, that will work. Else it will never append any data no matter how many times retry.

HI Eric,

As per my understanding, Instead of opening different files and copying data and pasting them to Main excel, you can try to copy all excels data into collection and append write in Main excel at a time without opening Excel visibly. 
As many excels are being Opened at a time it may cause issues in writing Data to another Excel.

Try this and let me know if you are having any issue.
