I am assuming you want to run a local robot resource that should be visible in Control.
In case your private resource does not start automatically you can always start a runtime resource in CMD. The easiest way is to run:
"C:\Program Files\Blue Prism Limited\Blue Prism Automate\Automate.exe" /resourcepc /sso
For further details have a look at Blue Prism help (the question mark icon in Blue Prism) or run
"C:\Program Files\Blue Prism Limited\Blue Prism Automate\Automate.exe" /help
Unfortunately it is not possible to remove resources once they have been registered in Blue Prism, except by altering DB tables. There is the option to hide them in System/Resources/Management though.
I have never had the situation to change the (DNS) name of a resource and there might be other issues related to this. If your PC still does not show up in Control, you could try to 'Reset FQDN' via the RMB context menu in System/Resources/Management.
And there is always the possibility your new PC has been retired and is not visible in Control because of this
