Healthcheck of the resources under the Resource Pool

Hi Everyone-   I am having a while performing the automation of the Healthcheck process of the resources connected in the control room. The problem what I am having now is though some of the resources in particular pool are connected , because of other resources which are connected status of all the resources are showing as connecting which is not giving a clue on the resource status. I found some of the answers in this forum like this is because of the design Resource pools was , but I would like to know is there a way we actually can get to know the resource status in a resource pool?

Don't the command line/http/telnet commands available in the product allow you to directly query the status of your resources?  For example if i enter the following into a browser on my local laptop: http://localhost:8181/status  Check out the command line options in the product help for more details.

I am actually trying to make the Production controller job easy by creating a process that will automatically scan through the resources table in the control room and then create a spreadsheet with the details. Hence I want this from a controller perspective instead of individual VD's.
