How to setup Mailbox Profiles when trying to read emails from other mailboxes

How to setup Mailbox Profiles when trying to read emails from other mailboxes PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED DOCUMENT FOR IMAGES: From the below image you can see there are 2 email boxes (Inbox for blueprism.robot@####.### and LICENSING) For the purposes of this document we want to poll the mailbox LICENSING and not the blueprism.robot mail account. When using MAPIEx, you require a mailbox profile to be set up (in most cases it is Outlook) These set of instructions are to how to set up the applicable profiles required to ensure MAPIEx can use both mailboxes if required from a LIVE and TEST perspective. - First Action €“ Close Outlook - Click on Start and find Outlook, Right Click on Microsoft Outlook and select Properties - Click on email Accounts - In the window check the Default mailbox can be seen that is setup on the machine you are using - Also check the text next to the €œChange Folder€ button and it should say the email address you are using \Inbox - Then click on the €œData Files€ tab €“ check the email you are using is also in this tab - You can then close the €œAccount Settings€ pop up - Then click on €œShow Profiles€ in the Mail Setup Window - You will then see the profile require to be used is there for the Default Outlook Profile in which in MAPIEx you will call upon the profile €œDefault Outlook Profile€ to get those mails. - In this case you can see the 2 profiles set up, these instructions will provide you with help on how to set up the profile. In this case it is for the LICENSING Mailbox - Click on ADD, Call the Profile a Name €“ in this case Licensing1 - Add the email address and password you were given for the windows log in - Hit Next, the mailbox will then be found and connected to - Once you hit finish you will see the second profile appear - Now the 2nd profile is available with the associated email address we need to check everything is setup correctly to ensure no emails go into the wrong mailbox due to set up - Click on the profile in this case Licensing and select €œProperties€ - Click on Email Accounts - You will see a similar screen from before but with the other mailbox information. - We can now check the Email and Data Files tabs for the LICENSING mailbox to ensure the profile is set up correctly - Email tab should show the email address of the mailbox we want to poll - One thing to note here is the text after the €œChange Folder€ button to ensure the correct inbox is being used - Click on the Data Files tab and check the data file is named after the mailbox you want to poll - Now for Blue Prism - As part of the project being worked on the variables for the profile / sub folder and move to folder where created as environment variables - This was for testing purposes. o TEST MODE would use the Default Outlook Profile o LIVE MODE would use the Licensing1 profile - This way the testing could be carried out any number of times Below in MAPIEx you will see we have used the External VBO that we imported That is everything you need to know to get the profile available on the machine you are working on if you require mail from another mailbox. Please Note: these instructions were used on a Windows XP machine, with outlook 2010. Also, the user account did not have admin rights so we couldn€™t see the Mail option in control panel. Even without admin rights we were able to create profiles.
