Sounds like the certificate used by the app server is self-signed, and your machine doesn't have it.
Start by checking what certificate is used by the app server.
If it's a verified cert, then ensure it includes the domain from which your machine is connecting.
if it's a self-signed cert, then copy and paste into your machine.
