I am responsible for an automation that until recently relied on IBM PCOMM v5. With a move to Window 11, my organization is now using PCOMM 15. I have already updated all PCOMM VBO modelers to embedded, 64 bit.
Unfortunately, Blue Prism can no longer send keystrokes to PCOMM when running from the control room. Everything works fine in PCOMM 15 if I RDP, however. I have noticed that neither pcshll64.dll or ehlapi64.dll are installed with the PCOMM 15 installation but I'm not sure if that's relevant.
Anyone have any ideas on a solution here? Any insights are very much appreciated.
Thanks.

I suspect you have already guessed the cause and you will need those hllapi dlls installed for the interface to work. Even back in my day (the dark ages) those hllapi files were not always installed by default with mainframe emulator installers. Once the hllapi files are installed run through the mainframe set up instructions for Blue Prism again (make sure any path variables needed are set etc).
The get out of jail if you cannot get this working would be to follow my very old guide (not sure if it still available) to create a surface automatoin interface for a mainframe application - but there really should be no need for that with PCOMM as it is a good emulator.
