I have just developed my first process which was using MAPIEx to send out HTML emails with images embedded using Content-id (cid). Unforutnatly we have been experiencing issues with the plugin/our configuration meaning that BP will hang after a random number of MAPIEx interactions which is not ideal. Therefore I have been looking for a more reliable solution.
I have been able to modify the SMTP/PO3 business object to enable the sending of HTML emails, but have found that Content-ID is not working on email clients that was able to interoperate it previously. I'm thinking that the SMTP object is attaching the attachments as generic binary files, therefore confusing some of the email clients.
Has anyone else had any similar issues and may be able to help with this?
I am currently on Version 5 and will not be able to upgrade for a while..
