Office365 Migration - Excel files downloaded from Internet saving blank

ChloeMacIntosh

We are currently migrating from Win7 to Win10 so are regression testing our processes.

There seems to be an additional security measure with Office 365 products, where any files downloaded from the internet are opened in Protected View.

I have stepped through the process and Blue Prism is able to attach to the excel files download, however when using Save Current Workbook action BP creates a second blank workbook and saves that - as if it fails to "see" the data in the downloaded file.

I have reviewed the settings on Excel but they do not permit changes to Protected View security measures.

Anyone have any ideas/advice on how to resolve?

Hi,

In Excel go to File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Protected View, and then uncheck Enabled Protected View for files originating from the Internet.(you should have admin access if its restricted )
