Process schedule queue

Hi everyone,

The digital workforce is growing, and so is the density of processes scheduled to run on a Runtime Resource. Sometimes it happens that a process runs longer than planned for and overlaps with another process. What happens now is that the latter proces is not run at all because the machine was still occupied. This is annoyting of course because now it needs to be monitored. It would be ideal that once a process is completed, the proces that was initially planned starts processing.

Is there any way to create a queue like that? Maybe I am missing some of the settings and this option already exists?

Looking forward to learn from your experiences.

Best,
Nanne

Yes, it is possible but then you are straying into advanced usage territory.  The way that this is most often done is by moving to a "master digital worker" type of concept, where one or more Runtime Resources are dedicated to doing the actual allocation of work to the actual "worker digital workers".

You can take a look at this link https://portal.blueprism.com/documents/guide-dynamic-process-execution, and also this webcast for some ideas https://community.blueprism.com/communities/community-home/digestviewer/viewthread?MessageKey=cfeaa2b6-6583-4795-953f-4e95c2b1d288&CommunityKey=92eaf325-d304-4cd2-9e6a-98f85943d8ec&tab=digestviewer#bm...
