Save current values inside a collection into initial values (so that they persist after a reset)

Hello, Is there a way to copy values from current to initial inside a collection?  I combined values from 2 collections into a new collection but if I reset then I have to redo this step.  I am trying to get a static lookup collection going and trying to avoid typing them into the collection row by row.   Thanks

There is no easy way I'm afraid, and it would be great if there was a 'make all this stuff the initial value' button. Manually typing in the initial values is one way, which for a large collection will be unpleasant. A BP 'trick' is to copy and paste the collection into Notepad, manipulate the XML to add rows, then paste back in. If you manually create 1 row on the Initial Value tab before pasting into Notepad, you'll be able to see how the XML works.

Thanks John.  I did what you suggested and it was working up until we upgraded to version 6.9.  Do you know if pasting the xml into a process was disabled?  If so how can we do this now?  Is there a tool or anything?

Hi Magdalena,

It still works in 6.10.1, and I believe I've done that in 6.9 as well. What I suspect is that if you upgraded from a version below 6.6, then the XML is just different from what you were using before. You'll need to look at the new XML format and adjust your template XML before pasting in. The reason I suspect this is the issue is that Blue Prism will simply reject the paste if it is an invalid XML schema (that is, invalid from the perspective of using in a process/object).
