Priority is a way to control the order in which Get Next Item retrieves the next item to work. A tag is a label used to categorise a queue item, eg 'Savings Account' or 'Loan Account'.

Status can be only updated during an item is locked while Tag/Untag item can be updated when an item is not locked.

Tagging is done on an item for the below reasons
1.For Management Information (MI), to easily view or report on Work Queue items with a specific tag
2.For process reasons, giving a Blue Prism process more control over how Work Queue items that are locked and worked.
Tagging should not be used for recording unique information
Tagging can be added or removed whereas priority of an item cannot be changed after it has added to the queue.
The default priority is Oldest first and if u are changing the priority, make sure u are clearing all items in the queue.
