Allow user to specify search result order

As searches can often contain a large result set, it would be very useful to be able to specify the order in which results are returned/displayed.  Currently this defaults to ascending, but if the user wants to see more recent results, they would have to repeat the search using more restrictive search criteria.

Ideally this would apply both to initial search results as well as within the object hierarchy.

Ideally search results should be sortable in the same way the work list is when displayed in tabular form, not just by create date, but by other data points as well.

We have the option to filter the Search Results with Enhanced Search - not filter them. We can filter the results by any of LOB Fields . 
Not sure of the technical feasibility to achieve this
