Thank you for raising this idea. Again, apologies for not getting a response sooner. During the design of Interact and design of features since then, we did consider the best approach to notifying and making users aware of certain activities.
Obviously something we do not want to do was to flood a users inbox with large quantities of email notifications of activity on Interact, especially as consumers scale their use of Interact and more submissions are raised to users or groups of users.
Few questions:
Is the problem that inbox items are not getting actioned because users are not aware of them?
Are these users logged into the system daily, or do they only log in on certain occasions?
How often do you have items added to users inboxes?
