In Blue Prism v6.9, renaming an action that is used in one or several processes, makes the processes have the error "Missing action" and the I/O fields on the process side are cleared, when choosing the renamed action.

It would be great if renaming an action would also update it in each process that it is used in, as well as keeping any data items/collections in the I/O fields of the action (on the process side of the action).

This is to reduce the manual labour of renaming an action

This has been missing since version 6.5 and in fact it would be very useful

Could easily have an save question if you want to cascade update all dependencies or not.

Even if it didn't automatically update the affected processes, two small tweaks would make the process less painful:
  1. When renaming an action, automatically (or optionally?) run a "find references" search to give you a list of the process that will be impacted.
  2. When you open an Action stage in Process Studio, and the action no longer exists, DON'T wipe the list of parameters. That way, you can select the new action and not have to re-enter the parameters if they are still the same.

Anyone knows if there's another idea submitted like this one? or what's the status?
