We would like to see the ability for ROS to handle documents in read-only mode in the future,
At the moment the ROS plug-in is specifically designed for revisable content. Its core function is to allow updates and modifications, the application is expected to open in Edit mode by design. Adding read-only mode to the capability will allow users to open and read documents without the expectation that edits are planned etc.
