SS&C Blue Prism Enterprise v7.5 - Backwards compatibility, webhooks and more

SS&C | Blue Prism® Enterprise 7.5 is now available

Hello everyone! I'm delighted to announce the general availability of Blue Prism Enterprise version 7.5. This release reduces the complexity and risk of upgrading, allows users to automate browsers seamlessly without relying on browser extensions, and enables integration with external systems more efficiently. 

Some highlights from this release include:

• Simplified upgrades with backward compatibility: Our new backward compatibility feature enables seamless upgrades by allowing the application server to accept connections from previous runtime resource versions, supporting version 7.1.2 in this initial release.

• Expanded browser automation capabilities: We've expanded our Chromium spy mode feature to enable the automation of Chrome and Edge browsers in addition to Electron applications. This enhancement provides users with a unified interface to automate browser-based applications, eliminating the need to manage and maintain separate browser extensions. 

• Real-time work queue updates with webhooks: Our new webhooks feature enables users to create real-time notifications for updates to work queue items, allowing for more efficient and seamless integration with external systems.

• You can download Blue Prism Enterprise 7.5 from the Customer Support Portal.

Upgrading to Blue Prism Enterprise 7.5

• We recommend that all customers planning a version 7 upgrade move directly to Blue Prism Enterprise 7.5.

• Blue Prism Enterprise 7.5 does not require a new license key unless users intend to leverage our Smart Vision capabilities, or are upgrading from version 6.10 or earlier. For information about applying the update to existing environments and further details about the changes introduced in the release, refer to the release notes and upgrade notices.
