External AppMan reader thread exited before response from query is coming

Hello Everyone,

I am facing this error while attaching to IBM Access Client Solutions mainframe: "Internal : Failed to perform step 1 in Navigate Stage 'Attach Session A' on page 'Attach' - External AppMan reader thread exited before response from query is coming".

Now the issue is that we have 2 machines, in one it is working fine, and in others it is giving this error. We have compared everything, Blue prism, Java and IBM all software versions are same in both the machines.

Can anyone please suggest if they have faced this in past or any solutions to this error, we were planning to move it to prod, but we are now stuck.

Hello @sarthak_86 - is it always failing in 2nd machine? or sometime it work in 2nd machine as well?

and did you check if the application become unresponsive in the machine where you are getting this error.

Hello @Neel1,

Yes, we are always getting the same error on the 2nd machine, it has never worked there.

The application is not unresponsive but I have observed that the appman32.exe is not running during the attach operation in the faulty machine and is running in the machine where we have no issues.
