Have you ever wanted/needed to have a Blue Prism process perform actions in response to a webhook being issued by another platform (ex. GitHub, MailChimp, Slack, Stripe, Trello, etc)? Well, now you can.
😁 We have just published the beta release of the
Webhook Receiver Service to the Digital Exchange.
The Webhook Receiver Service is an IIS-hosted solution that can be used to generate and monitor unique URI's that are mapped to Blue Prism work queues. Those URI's can be used by Blue Prism processes or other clients to register with 3rd party platforms to receive webhooks when certain events occur on those platforms. When a specific event occurs, the 3rd party platform issues a webook (i.e. an HTTP POST) notification to the unique URI of the Webhook Receiver Service. The webhook is captured and pushed (including HTTP headers and the POST body) into the mapped Blue Prism work queue for further processing by Blue Prism.
