I am getting this message trying to connect to the new REST API for Blue Prism v7.

"Blue Prism login error: Unknown failure"

The initial call to get a Bearer token works with the the account setup in the Hub.

  1. This is the first call via Postman

    https://authentication.local:443/connect/token

  2. In our second call

Ram,

I do not understand the first part of your recommendation.

For the roles here is what we have setup up in the Hub.

- Permission: Hub
- Roles: none
- Interact roles: none

We are also seeing that the account is not syncing between the Blue Prism console and the Hub.

Hi,

Please update correct Blue Prism hub url in system manger.

Kindly check the authentication server configuration document.

Hi Sean,

You must have a working Authentication Server before making any API calls. This is largely due to the fact that API service account permissions is governed by User Role settings of the core Blue Prism software.

To validate whether Authentication Server is working or not, create a Blue Prism API Service Account in Hub, you should immediately see a user added to Blue Prism under Security > Users screen with a yellow lock to the left. This user is brought in by the Authentication Server automatically and should be configured to provide necessary access to key Blue Prism resources as if a human user.

I have tried to walk though the setup document several times and have been unsuccessful.   When ever I enable the Authentication server in the core app logins no longer work.   Is there so logs I can look at to help identify what the issue could be?

Hi Sean,

Kindly check the v7 installation video to see if it helps with your case.

Not sure if Community is the best forum in troubleshooting installation issues, but you can always reach out to our support desk to seek assistance.
