Application crashes when spying in UIA or AA

Hi,

We are having an issue when trying to spy the vFire application, which is a windows application.

It only happen when we try to spy the navigation menu dropdown in AA or UIA mode. As soon as we hover the mouse over it'll crash. Other components of the application can be spied as expected.

Has anyone experienced this before and can advise of any troubleshooting solutions?

Thanks

Hey Max,

Does this issue occur if you try spying the application on a different machine? - Also, does it occur when spying any other applications on the same machine?

It may be worth testing a different Application Manager mode in App Modeller to see if this effects the behaviour.

I'd also suggest checking the Event Logs, to see if there is any further infomration about what is causing the crash, and post it here if so.

Hi Try this,

1.Close Blueprism

2.Run CMD as administrator.

3.Reregister UI Automation libraries using regsvr32 UIAutomationcore.dll

if you get the error saying failed to load "UIAutomationcore.dll" while registering the DLLs at location C:\Windows\System32 Please change the path to C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and run the same command.

4.Reregister Active accessibility libraries using regsvr32 OLEACC.DLL

helped me all the time.. you can try this.

Thanks Ryan.

I've played around with various application manager modes but to no avail. Note that the issue does only exists for a small component of the application - I am able to spy everything else as normal.

Hi Jerin,
I have the same problem,
How would you change path? I didn't understand from what you have written.
