One of our runtime-resource is out of domain, to communicate with app server, we have added IP and machine name in hosts file for each. It works well in production. For test purpose, on the same runtime-resource we try to create a connection to UAT app server. How ever error message as below pop up when test connection. But the same settings in other within-domain runtime resource can connect to app server successfully. Can you advise what can I do?
The message is : "The following error has occurred: The server is unavailable after retrying for 2 minutes"

Hi Eric,
There are a number of reasons why this type of error can occur, and since you state it's only occurring when attempting to connect the same RR to a different AppServer, the cause may be environment-specific or related to your UAT AppServer's configuration. There are a number of suggestions and steps to check in our Troubleshooting Application Server documentation (and the link within the article to the Online Help topic of the same name) -- could you let us know what's been tried already to this point?
Alternately, this may require log review to determine the specific point of failure as the error message is pretty vague. For this, I'd recommend you create a Support ticket containing the required initial information along with any relevant logs containing exceptions related to this scenario so we could assist further and in greater detail.
