Crystal Point OutsideView - Mainframe Automation

Hello Experts!

We have a demand to automate a mainframe process. 

My company uses an emulator named Crystal Point OutsideView and we have not been able to attach or map anything so far.

Does anyone know if can Blue Prism automate this kind of emulator?

We have tried "Generic HLLAPI" without success.

Any guess will be very valuable.

Hi, Flavio,

I went to the web site to see if it supports HLLAPI but I could not find any information. So my recommendation is to contact them and ask them if it supports HLLAPI. If yes then it should work with Blue Prism if not then it won't work natively. But it exposes some API which you could use if you know how to write code stages or one of my clients automated it through saving content in the clipboard and parsing it, not sure though how they move within the screen.

Thanks for your answer! Unfortunately OutsideView does not support HLLAPI. They provide a .NET API, so maybe the solution is to create code stages to interact with it as you said. I'll try some surface automation techniques as well.
