Darshan Hiranandani : Unable to Set Admin Password in Blue Prism Learning Edition 7.2.1

Hi all,

I'm Darshan Hiranandani, recently downloaded Blue Prism Learning Edition 7.2.1 with a 90-day free license. After installing the software, I was prompted to create a password for the admin user, but I’m encountering an issue.

The password rule states that the password must be more than 8 characters, but the password text box only allows me to type up to 5 characters. This is preventing me from progressing further, and I haven’t even reached the step to enter the license yet.

Has anyone faced this issue before or have any suggestions on how to resolve it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm glad you created a topic in the community, I'm sure it will be resolved in the best way possible.

One question, why don't you download the latest version? 7.4

I believe that will be the best option and it is also important to use the latest version because it doesn't have these bugs

@darshanhiranandani23 After suggesting version 7.4, the question of the password came to mind. I believe you have to use admin / admin as your login and password and then change it to the desired password.

But using the latest version is a good idea.

@Jrwork OP mentioned he is using the Learning Edition, and you linked to the Trial edition which are two different things. To link to the learning edition, this is the correct link: https://portal.blueprism.com/products/learning

As for your issue, @darshanhiranandani23 , a lot of people have run into this before. There appears to be at least a couple of things to try.

1 - Try typing the password somewhere else and copying and then pasting into the password field. That solved the issue for someone else in 7.2.1 Learning Edition here: https://community.blueprism.com/t5/Product-Forum/Unable-to-create-password-for-admin-BP-Learning-Edition-7-2-1/td-p/98457 .

2 - Change the scaling option in Windows to be 100% instead of the default which may be like 150%. This will make Blue Prism render properly and then may allow you to type in the full password.
