Decipher - Field values not captured

Hi,

I am facing a problem while getting the data from a Tax invoice Document. The layout of invoice is similar for all documents.

  1. CGST value is not captured - out of the 10 invoices I am getting the Value for CGST field for 1 document where as for the other 9 invoices the value returned is blank when there is a field and value present in the document. In DFD for sample headers I have given "CGST@9%".

Similar scenario is observed with SGST field sometimes.

  1. Wrong data captured in Table

Description and amount are configured as fields of table. For one invoice I am getting the data in table as below. Where it is reading the invoice ship to address, mail to address as "Description" and "Amount" field which are in the header section of the document. Whereas for most of the invoices correct data is captured.

Incorrect data captured in table-

Correct data captured in table -

Could you please help in how can I get the correct values for each document ?

Thanks,

Hi, Kirti,

first of all - in your DFD you use keywords BottomStop and TopStop but those two fields are not part of the table so IMHO these won't have any effect and might be confusing Decipher. I would recommend to remove them.

Sample headers are correctly referred, however, the value might be too far from the label and this might be the reason why it is not properly recognized. Try to delete the training model and start from scratch again if it improves because I would expect that these two values should be captured pretty easily.

Hi Kirti,

Sorry, had to edit as I misread the situation.

What happens if you don't have the values in for BottomStop and TopStop? (Also, they should be against the table fields)

It would make more sense for TopStop to be Description.

Thanks

Hi Ben,

It still doesn't read the CGST/SGST fields when there is no value in for Bottom Stop and Top Stop. I was trying the different configuration to check if it could capture the required field value but it didn't.

Also could you advise for the second issue where wrong data is captured in the table.

Thanks,

Hi,

Unfortunately it's really difficult to say, as I'm not familiar with your documents and the training you've done.

I would recommend either reviewing the best practice guidance, if you haven't already.

Alternatively you may be entitled to some "Expert Connect" time, which can be requested via the support desk. This would give you dedicated time with a Decipher expert, who will be able to help you on your specific process.

Thanks
